Something happened today which is, to me, quite disturbing.

It was after my economics tuition.

I was dozing off in the bus heading towards home when my slackening fingers dropped the handphone that I had held in my hands. The guy next to me picked it up for me. He was a black guy, probably from Nigeria. I thanked him and thought that was it. He suddnely laughed and tapped my arm. At the time, I was only thinking what a weird guy he is.
Then he took out his phone, which turns out to be the same model as mine. I just smiled politely at him and turned away. He pushed the phone to me and asked for my number. o.0 I was too stunned to say anything for a moment.
When he kept insisting, I just gave him a fake name and number so as not to cause a disturbance. He then actually called the number! I lied and said that it was my other number which I left at home.

He was silent and I thought I managed to get away with it. You might ask at his time, why didn't I just leave the seat. The thing is, all other seats are taken and if I just stood up it will be too odd. I guess I'm weird that way.

Anyway, he took out his wallet and gave me RM10 note. I just pushed it back to him. Later he tried to give me his watch. By this time, I'm freaking out. What's up with this guy!? Is he just that desperate, horny as hell or what?
At the first chance I have, I immediately left the seat.

The moral of the story is, don't ever doze off in bus, and if you met a guy like this, just politely tell him to fuck off.

The workshop was in collaboration with the British Council. I hope I'll be able to attend the workshop as this is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity for me to meet a mangaka outside Malaysia and I want to learn how to improve my artwork.

I bought this graphic novel yesterday, when I was bummed out about my tort test. I had misgivings over buying it, having some bad experience with shoujo manga oneshots. I'm glad I bought it. Purikyu is so sweet and fluffy. I really like how the mangaka, Motomi Kyousuke, didn't put any sexual situation in the story. Nowadays, it's like some sort of formula or something that requires every mangaka in the shoujo genre to put some kind of sexual scene in the story. I want unrealistic, sweet and pure kind of love, damn it! And Purikyu seems to fulfill it.

Purikyu

I entered college in March, got to know many friends especially two of them whom I've spent the entire year enjoying the highs and lows of college life, and many other things which I've done. And this year is when I started blogging! I only got into the act when my friend, Annette invited me and my other friend, Marylin to blog in xanga. As they say, the rest is history. Oh, I'm even learning how to drive now. There's a tiff but that's another story.

Right now, I'm busy reading Eyeshield 2. It's about the only sports manga I'm obsessed with.I don't know if anyone else notices, but korean manhwa scanlations are incredibly slow in coming out. I've been checking on Chronicles of the Cursed Sword for months without any sign of progress. An update would have been a perfect christmas present....that and the song Holding On by Taufik Batisah. The main reason being my friend have a class on religion text in the morning which she didn't tell me, so we have to set out at noon to KL. Dad said that we're going to waste at least 4 hours on the road (we're going by bus), and if there's a rally in the city again, we're going to be stuck on a massive traffic jam. He said that if I'm going to waste time like that, he won't help save time for me anymore (not fetching me from college, etc...). I finally agreed to meet my friend at the neighbourhood coffee shop instead, which he said he will fully support.

This afternoon after college I found two ten ringgit notes on my desk.

So. i guess I'm not at the losing end. In addition to not wasting time, I also gain extra money. Still, I wonder if there's other parents that make such a religion on practicality.

I bought Le Gardenie: Foolish Fruits, the sequel to Le Gardenie (the graphic novel which won the third prize for the Japan Manga Nobel Prize Award) today.
